Of special interest this month: Neighbors Link Stamford will once again be an AARP Foundation Tax-Aide site. Beginning February 9th (and going through April 12th), community members are invited to meet with trained tax counselors from 12:30pm to 3pm every Tuesday for help filling out 2015 tax returns. Services are available in English and in Spanish, and no appointment is necessary.
Also this month: we will be starting our the employability skills programs and workshops within our Skills Development Program (SDP). These workshops include: goal setting, conflict resolution, and effective communication, just to name a few. Participants will learn the skills to more successfully retain jobs and stand out to employers as well-rounded employees. Registration is free but required, so if you know someone who might be interested, please let them know.
