| Good Morning, Each of us learns from our past experiences, the good, the bad and the ugly.
As a society, it is a little different. We need to understand the experiences of others, particularly those who have lived in this world before we got here.
As parents and grandparents, we need to be teaching our kids and grandchildren what we have experienced and learned. As a society, we need to learn from the mistakes others have made.
Questions each of us needs to ask:
- Are we teaching our children history from our prospective, as well as that of our grand parents and great grand parents explaining what they experienced in their lives and why?
- Are we making sure our educational system is teaching plenty of history, honestly and accurately, not covering up those things that someone in authority thinks should not be passed on.
- Are we, in our own lives digging into history to learn the facts rather than depending on what we hear in the media to be accurate facts.
People are people and that doesn't change. If we don't learn from history, we will repeat it. Guaranteed.
