SHUKR, ALHAMDULILLAH - ALL THANKS BE TO GOD

Give Thanks
The Holy Quran equates gratefulness as equivalent to faith. The faithful are those who are thankful to God and to people. God describes His Prophets and Messengers among those whose hearts were in deep gratitude to their Creator. Prophet Noah was a grateful servant of God (Qur'an 17:3). Prophet Abraham used to thank God for His many blessings (Qur'an 16:121). Prophet David and his family were told to be grateful to God (Qur'an 34:13). Allah told His Prophet Muhammad: Worship Allah and be of those who give thanks. (Qur'an 39:66). Click here to read an Islamic perspective about Thanksgiving.

We urge you to thank God by donating a can of food to the food pantry at the ISOC Masjid or by supporting a project extraordinaire, the world famous HomeBoys/Girls Industries or a food pantry in your neighborhood.
