Supporters, volunteers and alumni opened their hearts to share how
Eva's Village has changed their lives. Listen to their voices:

"Our time spent at Eva's has been life - changing for our family. It has graced us with so many true and indelible gifts of the spirit."

Nora Renzulli, long-time volunteer, who with her family, received the Msgr. Vincent E. Puma Memorial Award.

"The Chefs saw something in me before I even realized
it, and I am forever grateful."

Tabitha, Eva's Village Alumna, Class Valedictorian of The Culinary School, and Eva's Cookies & Brownies
employee.
"The people at Eva's loved me before I knew how to love myself . . . from where I was to where I am now - there is no comparison."

Denise, Eva's Village Alumna, Class Valedictorian of The Culinary School, and Eva's Cookies & Brownies employee.
"The best part . . . is that we have employed some of the school's graduates and they are learning what it is to start a company; to be gainfully employed and to be successful."

Tom Indoe, founder of Eva's Cookies & Brownies, who received Eva's Where Hope Begins Award.
"People come to Eva's with nothing. We give them Hope. Then we add Love. Their Faith is restored. This formula:
HOPE + LOVE + FAITH saves lives."

Rich Taylor, Gala Chair and Event Sponsor, and Board member.
"Eva's Village is a shining example of what it means to be there for our fellow neighbors . . . It is truly a place where lives are changed on a daily basis."

Ralph Lauretta, long-time supporter, who with his family, received the Community Service Award.

Eva's Joins Paterson Nonprofits to Support our Community
Show your support! Donate on #GivingTuesday, Dec. 1
All holiday shoppers have heard about Black Friday and Cyber Monday, but what do you know about #GivingTuesday? On Tuesday, December 1, nonprofits around the world will celebrate a day of giving by urging people to support the needs of people in their communities.

This year, Eva's Village has joined with six local organizations also working to improve the lives of Paterson residents. Through Give 2 Paterson
we hope to make an even greater impact to benefit the people of this community on December 1.

Together we make a difference! Throughout Paterson, our organizations provide a continuum of care, from meeting basic needs like food, shelter and clothing, to offering medical and behavioral health care and addiction treatment, GED classes, workforce development and youth programs. Visit the Give 2 Paterson's website to learn more about the extraordinary work of our fellow nonprofits.

"At Eva's Village, we believe that to truly have a profound impact, we must collaborate with other
organizations that
provide vital services within our community."

Marie Reger, Eva's Village Executive Director

   Making a Difference
Volunteer Spotlight: BAE Systems
Employees learned about the programs at Eva's Village and sampled treats from Eva's Cookies & Brownies at BAE's annual Giving Rally in Wayne, NJ this November.
BAE Systems' partnership with Eva's Village started more than five years ago, with three employees who volunteered on their days off.

The company's participation in Eva's  programs has grown to include sponsoring meals served by a team of employee volunteers in our Community Kitchen through our Fund-A-Meal program, conducting food, furniture, clothing and school supply drives and mock interviews to help Eva's program participants build career skills. All volunteer groups receive an orientation explaining Eva's mission and programs before touring our nine- building campus and serving a meal, or working on the grounds.
"We admire Eva's programs and their focus on giving back to the community, which matches our company's mission: 'We protect those who protect us', which extends to support those in need."

Juan Alvarez, Director Human Resources,
BAE Systems, NJ

"Eva's has become a preferred charity at our local site," noted Juan Alvarez, BAE's Director of Human Resources. BAE matches employee donations up to $2,500 per year, per employee. In 2014, the British multinational defense, security and aerospace company contributed over $16.6 million to local, national and international charities and nonprofits.
