The last EDC Social of the semester is TONIGHT !
Don't let this one pass you by! We will have an area reserved for us upstairs at the Dark Horse. This event will feature free appetizers and a White Elephant Gift Exchange. If you would like to participate in the gift exchange, wrap up an interesting item lying around your  house that you no longer want and bring it to the gift exchange.

Did You Know?

The Mortenson Center owns copies of basic Spanish and French Rosetta Stone. Students may check them out for free to brush up on their language skills. Contact Robyn at [email protected] to find out if the disks are currently available for check-out.
Seeking Student Assistant for Administrative Assignments
 
The Mortenson Center is looking for a student to assist with the preparation of the weekly and quarterly EDC digests, and other tasks as they arise.
 
Hourly employment, with 10 hour per week maximum, throughout the spring semester.  [Remember that student employees are limited to working a total of 20 hours per week across all appointments. Therefore, students with 50% RA or TA appointments are not eligible to apply.]

$12/hour

Writing for the Public is a professional development seminar sponsored by the 
Center for the Humanities and the Public Sphere at the  University of Florida. The event, organized by  Dr. Sean Trainor, will be held on Friday, Dec. 11, 2015 from 12pm-3pm in  Fine Arts C 201  (and online, for those who cannot attend in person). The seminar is designed to teach participants how to effectively engage the public through their writing.
