Dr. Ira Fox Appointed as Chairman of the Local Organizing Committee and Program Director for the World Institute of Pain's 3rd Annual Miami Interventional Pain Hands-on Workshop
|
Ira Fox, MD, DABPM, FIPP, ABIPP, co-founder of Broward based
Anesthesia Pain Care Consultants, served as Chairman of the
Local Organizing Committee and Program Director for the 3rd Annual Miami Interventional Pain Hands-on Workshop, hosted by the
World Institute of
Pain's (WIP) United States and Brazil sections. The workshop took place from December 2 through December 4 at the
Miami Anatomical Research Center.
Dr. Fox presented on thoracic and cervical neuroplasty. He was joined by some of top physicians in the growing field of interventional pain management.
As one of the earliest members of the WIP, Dr. Fox continues to be an integral part of its educational faculty. Dr. Fox was chairman of the WIP advisory board, honorary treasurer and has been on the executive board since 2011. He has also been appointed to the WIP's
Committee on Project Development as the first chairperson. The committee will encourage, initiate and supervise projects that should be dedicated to the education, standardization and evaluation of medical doctors within the framework of WIP activities.
Dr. Fox holds the distinction of being the inaugural executive examiner for the WIP &
American Academy of Pain Medicine Ultrasonography (AAPMU)
1st Annual WAAPMU International Congress. He is a Fellow of
Interventional Pain Practice and
Certified Interventional Pain Sonologist (CIPS).

The Campbell Foundation tops $10 million in donations with latest round of grants

FORT LAUDERDALE, FL- Since 1996,
The Campbell Foundation has ended each year awarding grants to HIV/AIDS service organizations nationwide as a way of saying thank you for what they do for those impacted by the disease. It is what the foundation calls its "Holiday Hug."
This year, the foundation is pleased to announce that with its latest round of End of Year funding it also has reached an incredible milestone. Not only has the foundation awarded $1 million in funding to direct service organizations, but it has reached the $10 million mark for total funding since the organization's inception in 1995.
This year, The Campbell Foundation is providing the following ten Florida-based service organizations with $5,000 each.
