Living "Life On Life"

Gathering and serving with  Ekklesia  was extra amazing last Sunday. At first we gathered, sang, shared life, shared scripture and were lead in communion with Jesus and  each other by  Devon . Her words from Romans rang true with my life and led me to needed reflection.
Once we all cleaned up we divided into smaller groups to serve and spread the Gospel. It was amazing to be the last one to leave the parking lot and to know that all the cars ahead of me were being the hands and feet of Jesus.
I served along with some kids and youth at  Walmart Port Orchard to collect food for the local food bank. God brought some amazing people into our path.
My two favorite moments were when a single mother was excited to give peanut butter, but was then embarrassed that she could only afford that one item. We thanked her and shared how beautiful her gift was and that she and her gift is valuable. My other favorite moment was when a man pushed his cart full of groceries out of the store while holding a small bag. Instead of giving us the little bag he gave us the whole cart. He could barely speak since he was crying so much. The love in his eyes and the desire to give was very impacting.
Sharing the Gospel is through living "Life on Life" with those around us. When we can start conversations, bring people out of depression and love on each other we are sharing a glimpse of the Kingdom. - Sarah Emily Blair
P.S. 373 lbs of food were turned in to the food bank on Monday morning!

Another group of Ekklesia volunteers descended on Sandy's yard and loaded up two dump truck loads of yard debris. We appreciated all the hard work given to Sandy's yard. It's really more than just cleaning a yard. The work done on Sandy's behalf has been food for her soul. She was alone and feeling unloved after her husband's passing last year. Now she is feeling loved by others and learning a renewed sense of community. We will continue to rain love on her over the next few weeks and send groups to help out where it is needed.

Birthday Sunday- May 1st
Ekklesia's 3rd Birthday
On May 1st Ekklesia will celebrate it's third birthday when it began meeting together on regular Sunday's in the community. We actually began about a year earlier when a small group of families began meeting in homes and served the community on Sunday mornings! We would like to celebrate God's blessings on Ekklesia on May 1st. We would also like to invite anyone who is ready to be born again into Jesus to take advantage of the water tank that will be ready and filled on that Sunday. May 1st will be Birthday Sunday! It will be Ekklesia's birthday and the birthday for anyone interested in baptism into Jesus! Several have been talking and praying about their commitment to Jesus and may be ready to take the plunge!

A baptism Sunday in years past when Danny was baptized into Jesus!
