11:00 a.m. Sunday Celebration (service) ~ "Spiritual Wealth" is not about money and/or financial well-being, although it can include them. It's not about striving and reaching for success and rewards, although such things may result from following Unity principles. It's not about chanting affirmations and furrowing the brow trying to hold a steady focus on what we want, although affirmations and knowing what we want can be handy tools. Spiritual Wealth is about abundant living in all areas of our lives: relationships, health, well-being, personal paths, love, and more.
So what are the secrets to this kind of wealth from a spiritual standpoint? Here are a few:
- Finding our way to a deep sense of self-worth and feeling deserving of good things
- Living from a place of gratitude and joy
- Feel-good giving and "making a difference" in this world (Thank you, Prince!)
- Accepting guidance and cultivating positive expectancy
- Using what Charles Fillmore called our "spiritual faculties"
These are the things we'll think about this Sunday. We hope you'll join us, either in person or in spirit, as we consider "true, spiritual wealth."
Music: We are delighted to have the very entertaining musical duo of Brenda Kemp and Janice Anderson with us this Sunday. Brenda, a
Licensed Unity Teacher, said
"Unity changed my life. The Unity Principles changed me and by applying the Unity Principles to my life, I changed my world. I share my message of Unity through music and humor. I love to laugh and I love it when people laugh with me. Life should be fun and I find something to laugh about every day."
Currently members of Unity of the Cumberlands in Cookeville, Brenda and Janet make their home in Nashville and delight many Unity churches with special messages, fun, and humor.
1:15 to 2:15 ~ "Oneness Blessing," also known as Deeksha, will be led by Atlanta Oneness Trainer Mark Burhke along with Atlanta area and Athens blessing givers.
It is an opportunity for you to center and feel the connection with your own sense of the Divine. Consider giving yourself the gift of peacefulness, well-being, and love that is the wonderful blessing of Deeksha. More information on Deeksha here.
"THINK TANK" LUNCH THIS SATURDAY AT UNITY ATHENS!
Saturday April 23, 12:30 to 1:30 or 2:00. Brown Bag Lunch & ThinkTank.
Bring your lunch if you like and join some like-minded folks that love Unity in the Unity Athens CommUnity Room. Make suggestions, envision, and brainstorm ideas, concepts, and strategies for events, classes, ways to serve our larger Athens community, and the positive future of Unity Athens. These lunches are full of fun and creative energy! Free.

Morning Quietude consists of gently guided meditation and often the presence of Reiki healers in a calm, comforting setting with soft music or profound silence. Join us in our the Meditation Room from 9:40 to 10:20 for this time of peaceful, contemplative meditation. Love offering basis.
The Tuesday Book Study Group
meets from 1:30 to 3:15 at Unity Athens to read and discuss THE MILLIONAIRE FROM NAZARETH by Unity minister and prosperity author Catherine Ponder.This group is held on a love offering basis. The book is available to purchase in class and in our bookstore. The next class will meet on Tuesday, April 26. Class won't meet on May 3rd, but resumes May 10th.
Wednesday Night Book Study Group meets from 6:15 to 7:45 to read the prosperity classic, SPIRITUAL ECONOMICS by Eric Butterworth. In-depth discussions about the book and spiritual principles for creating an abundant life are enhanced by materials from Unity & other sources. Love offering basis. Books are available in class and in our bookstore. Even if you can't make it to every class, there is much to learn by attending when you can. The next class will meet on Wednesday April 27. Class won't meet on May 4th, but resumes May 11th.
EVERY SUNDAY, 2:00 pm - 3:30 pm, A COURSE IN MIRACLES m
eets in the sanctuary of our new location.
Taught by Drew Smith, an engaging and insightful facilitator, this popular class dives deeply into A COURSE, while making the text even more understandable and relevant to daily life. Open to all. If you don't own the book, there's always someone willing to share. Because of the ongoing nature of this class, feel free to stop in as you can, or to participate every Sunday. Love offerings are accepted and appreciated.
Every Friday from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Date Night with Your Higher Self is a meditation/ healing circle led by Celia Filla and others. Experience unconditional love, connection with Spirit, & higher consciousness. Suggested offering, $10. Ti

Our lovely new location is in the Bells Shopping Center, 995 Hawthorne Avenue, Athens 30606, Suite 105, next to the Project Safe Thrift Store. We are blessed with a large sanctuary plus classrooms and a large CommUnity Room. Many blessings appeared on this journey to our new home. Donations can be made through

Directions
from our former location at Family Counseling: Turn right out of the driveway. Go 0.7 miles to the Hawthorne intersection (stoplight) and turn left. Go another 0.7 miles to turn into the second entrance to Bells Plaza Shopping Center and go to the side of the center that faces Burger King. We are between the Coin Laundry and Project Safe, facing Burger King.

Note: Send in up to five digital photos of your mother or mother figures in your life in order to have them included in the slide show. Email photos to [email protected]. We will also have a table display for "physical" photos on Mother's Day. Bring them in that morning and take them home after the service. This has become a favorite tradition at Unity Athens!
