Animal Registration Discussion

Discussions are in the works with Town Council regarding a proposal to require animals to be registered. At a previous council meeting, staff presented an overview of current procedures and options as it relates to our interlocal agreement with the City of Keller for animal services. The proposed changes, on the agenda April 25, will require animal registration for dogs and cats. Registration will help with notification and return should your pet be found out of their home and be impounded by animal control.
Amphitheater, Restaurants, and First Residential Area in the Works at Entrada

Exciting things are happening at Entrada as progress is being made! During the March Town Council Meeting, ordinances were passed  regarding the amphitheater and a "restaurant row" site. On Monday, the  Planning and Zoning Commission and Town Council will consider the Entrada "Residential First Six" PD Site Plan.  The Planning and Zoning Commission will meet at 4 p.m., followed by the Town Council Work Session at 5 p.m. and Regular Session at 6:30 p.m. Above is a computer generated rendering of the first six proposed homes that displays the Entrada development's Spanish-Catalonian design theme, including interconnected walls, courtyards, and unique architectural elements.

Please note: Due to early voting at Town Hall, the meetings on April 25 will be held at the Westlake Academy Fieldhouse (2600 J.T. Ottinger Road).
Upscale Residential Neighborhood Coming to Westlake

A new development is in the works, adding another high-quality residential neighborhood that will showcase our town's unique, natural beauty!

Town Council recently approved a preliminary plat for the Estates of Quail Hollow and granted a specific use permit for gated access to the subdivision, which will include about 92 homes on 188 acres at the southeast corner F.M. 1938/Dove Road. Access to the neighborhood will be off of F.M. 1938, which will keep traffic to a minimum on Dove Road.  Quail Hollow, which will be built in three phases, is in alignment with the Town's Comprehensive Plan that defines the area as a pastoral community with high-end residential development on lots that are one acre or larger.

Developer Bryan Elliott assured Town staff that every effort will be taken to avoid disturbance of the property's landscape to keep the picturesque views of the scenic rolling hills, mature trees and tranquil lakes.
