The surveys have been distributed to all local manufacturers and the results should be ready for release by mid-May. Meeting this deadline will require that manufacturers return the completed surveys by Thursday, April 28.  Participation in the survey includes a free copy of the results. ISO 9001:2015 Training Benefits Local Manufacturers
The Economic Development Department and University of Tennessee Center for Industrial Services hosted an ISO 9001:2015 Changes Training Class April 8 at the Partnership. Seven attendees representing six local manufacturers participated in the day-long seminar which reviewed the ISO 9001 standards with special emphasis on revisions from 2008 to 2015. A separate training session for ISO 9001 Internal Auditing is available to the Partnership if the need arises. Entrepreneurial Business Incentives Legislation
The Tennessee General Assembly will consider legislation (HB1536/SB2539) this week that will enhance the state's ability to assist smaller entrepreneurial businesses through incentives. Tennessee is lacking in the area of entrepreneurial incentives while 26 other states already have some form of investment tax credit, including six of our border states. Tennessee must act now to stay competitive. The Partnership urges its members to contact their state representatives to show support for this legislation. For more information or to view a packet of information related to the bill, contact Ashley Shelton at 638-4111 or email [email protected].
