Quarterly e-newsletter                                              April/May/June 2016

Dear Heritage Club Members,

Spring has sprung! The robins are back, spring flowers are up and it's about time to start mowing. We just returned from the Heritage Club International Peer Conference at Honey Creek Resort with many travel ideas for the next three years.

Some of the travel ideas that came from the conference include Ireland, Nova Scotia/New Brunswick, China, American Queen Cruise, Branson, MO area, Florida, Malta (Jewel of the Mediterranean Sea) and many more. What locations are on your travel bucket list? We'd like to know! Please click here to take a survey and let us know which locations are on your list!

We hope you enjoy this warmer weather and we hope to see you at our next social event at the Guthrie County Historical Village on May 25 in Panora.

Happy Spring!
Kim and Vicki

Remember to check the GCSB website for information on Heritage Club and other bank updates as well.
QUARTERLY SOCIAL EVENT

You won't want to miss our next quarterly social event. It will be held on Wednesday, May 25 at the Guthrie County Historical Village in Panora at 1:00 p.m. We will first meet at the church at the village and learn more about the village from Kristine Jorgensen. You will also have an update on our new bank building in Guthrie Center and our 85th bank anniversary. Refreshments will be served!

A wonderful event at Lakeside Village!
Angie Holloway of Lakeside Village speaks to GCSB Heritage Club members.
Thanks to everyone that braved the cold and blustery February day to come out to
Lakeside Village for our social event. A big thank you to Angie Holloway from Lakeside Village. She provided lots of information about what's going on at this state-of-the-art residential village, we saw a few apartments, and we were treated to refreshments. A big thank you to our colleagues, Donna Baker of Guthrie County State Bank, and Kristen Crouthamel, GCSB Investment Center, for helping at our social event.
INTRODUCING APPLE PAY - PAY ON THE GO WITH YOUR MOBILE DEVICE

Apple Pay is a mobile payment and digital wallet service by Apple that let s users make payments using the iPhone6, 6 Plus and later, Apple watch-compatible devices, iPad Air2, iPad Pro and iPad mini3 and later.

Apple Pay is simple to use and because your debit card details are never shared when you use your iPhone and Apple Pay, this technology is more secure and private. Apple Pay doesn't store the details of your transaction so they can't be tied back to you. Your most recent purchases are kept in Wallet for your convenience, but that's as far as it goes. Since you don't show your debit card, you never reveal your name, card number or security code to the cashier when you pay in a store. Visit our website for more information or ask your GCSB personal banker for more information!
"I RETIRED SO I COULD ENJOY GCSB HERITAGE CLUB MORE!"

GCSB Heritage Club member, Ilene Tallman, tells us why she participates in our group.

"I've been a member of the Guthrie County State Bank Heritage Club for a number of years. I retired in 2008 so I could enjoy the GCSB Heritage Club more. Now I can
attend the quarterly meetings and go on the trips, which I do enjoy! The New England trip was a great trip. We had lots of good food, beautiful scenery and always a fun time with friends you make that care and look out for each other, which make a good group. The GCSB Heritage Club has prepared good social events and trips for the members. I can't forget the Mystery Trips, which I enjoy a lot! You sign up not knowing what or where you are going (it's a Mystery) and it's always been a fun time! You may even get a kiss from a reindeer! Thanks to the GCSB Heritage Club directors for making this possible."

Would you like to share why you joined GCSB Heritage Club or tell us about your favorite event? Email us and share your story!
