During his recent visit, Prime Minister Narendra Modi met a team of scientists from the Laser Interferometer Gravitational Wave Observatory in Washington, DC. The Prime Minister also witnessed the exchange of an MoU on the establishment of Laser Interferometer Gravitational Wave Observatory (LIGO) in India. The agreement was signed by Dr. Sekhar Basu, Secretary, Department of Atomic Energy, India, and Dr. France Cordova, Director, US National Science Foundation.

TECH LIVE 
 
India will launch 25 foreign satellites this year using its Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV). 12 of the 25 satellites belong to the US, while the remaining 13 belong to Germany, Canada, Algeria, Japan, Indonesia and Malaysia. According to the Prime Minister's Office, 57 foreign satellites from 21 countries have been successfully launched on board the PSLV.

Air India flew the world's longest all-women operated and supported flight from New Delhi to San Francisco on Mar. 6. The flight, which traveled a distance of around 9,000 miles (14,500 kilometers) in close to 17 hours,  was under the command of Kshamta Bajpayee and Shubhangi Singh, along with First Officers Ramya Kirti Gupta and Amrit Namdhari.
