Next Bold Café April 10
Bold Café is the name we give to our monthly gathering of young adult women. It is an informal time for women to gather to talk about faith and things that matter. If you missed our last meeting, check out the
Bold Cafe E-zine to check out the topic of "Envy". Our next gathering will be Sunday, April 10 at 8am in the fireside room.

Women's Bible Study April 12
This month we complete our 4 part study on the book of Philippians "Christian Citizenship 101" We meet in the Fireside Room Tuesday, April 12, 1:30pm lead by Wilma Timm and 7pm led by Marcia Lindseth.

Choir Concert April 10
Mark your Calendar
for the
Pierce County Ecumenical Choir Concert
here at Joy on Sun. April 10 at 7pm. This 30 member choir will sing a variety of songs ranging from familiar hymns to praise and worship and gospel music.
The name of this year's concert is "Hallelujah". The free will donation will be used to support the local food pantry and local ministries.

Saturday, April 16: St. Croix Conference WELCA
Morning of Renewal, Bethel Lutheran Church, 920 Third Street, Hudson, 8:15 AM - Noon. Theme: "Be Still and Know That I Am God: Finding God in the Midst of our Active Lives." Pastor Amelia Houdek, associate pastor at First Lutheran Church in New Richmond, will be speaking on seeing God at work in our daily lives and in the world around us. Registration fee of $5 will be paid by JWELCA. Contact Emilie Horken or Marcia Lindseth if you'd like to attend this morning of inspiration and fellowship.

All women and children are invited for an evening of good food, fellowship, and fun. This year's theme is "Garden Party: Seeds of Kindness." Meal prepared by Doug Keyport and served by the men of Joy. Tickets available for sale on Sundays, April 3, 10, and 17. Adult tickets are $10.00; tickets for children 5 and under are $5.00.

Get ready to get your hands dirty and add some color to your yard. Yep, the 8th annual Joy Plant Market is
Saturday, May 14 and Sunday, May 15, beginning at 9:00 a.m.
Proceeds going to the Prescott Food Shelf, St. Croix Habitat for Humanity, ELCA Missions, and Joy Worship Enhancements. You can help by:

Donating perennial, annual, and vegetable plants
(need to be clearly marked with provided plant markers listing plant name, sun/shade and bloom color, and perennials need to be in 1 gallon pots or larger). Plant drop-off is Friday, May 13, from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at Joy.
*Volunteering
for Saturday and/or Sunday activities
*Donating money
towards the Plant Market (place donation in offering plate).
*Getting the word out
to neighbors and friends

Luther Park
Have you taken time to look at the summer camp programs offered at Luther Park and Luther Woods? While June and July may seem a long way off, the staff at Luther Park is already gearing up for another exciting summer filled with fun and spiritual growth. Luther Park offers a variety of programs for campers who have completed Kindergarten-12th grades. Whether you are a first-time camper or a veteran senior high, there is something for everyone at Luther Park! If you register and pay in full before May 1st you will receive the Early Bird Discount. Friday-Saturday, April 29-30: NW Wisconsin Biennial Synod Women's Convention, Plaza Inn and Suites, Eau Claire. Theme: "Ordinary Women Serving an Extraordinary God." Registration begins at 4 PM on Friday and concludes with lunch on Saturday. Cost is $60 until April 13 and $70 thereafter. JWELCA will pay the $60 registration fee for any Joy women wanting to attend. (Contact Emilie Horken if you are planning to attend.) Hotel accommodations are available for $99/room for up to 4 persons, including a continental breakfast. Reservations should be made directly with the Plaza hotel by calling 800-482-7829. Entertainment will be the King's Countrymen, a bluegrass gospel group from Mondovi, and keynote speaker is Michelle Rayburn. Patti Austin, President of the churchwide Women of the ELCA will be the convention guest. Several Awareness Workshop Sessions will be offered. Card Ministry
Check out the card rack for new cards. The card ministry met on Saturday March 12th and made about 140 new cards. These include cards for Easter and Mother's Day. Thank you to all who support our ministry.
At $2 a card it is a bargain for a fine handcrafted card, plus it supports a great ministry.
