2016 A YEAR OF CELEBRATION FOR HABITAT FOR HUMANITY OF GREATER CINCINNATI

CINCINNATI -
Habitat for Humanity of Greater Cincinnati (HFHGC) is proud to announce its 30th anniversary and 15th ReStore Anniversary in 2016. HFHGC will be marking the momentous occasion with refreshed logos (below and attached) and the launch of a new habitat tagline: "Celebrating the Past. Building the Future."

The first ReStore was opened in Middletown in 2001 and relocated to Hamilton in 2005. That store continues to serve Hamilton and other surrounding communities today. In addition to the Hamilton location, there are now three other ReStore locations (Bond Hill, Cheviot and Florence) where the public can shop and/or donate household items while helping HFHGC provide decent, affordable homes for deserving families in the Greater Cincinnati area. Stores also offer free pickup for donations.

In 1986, a handful of local Christians felt called to begin the Habitat ministry in the Cincinnati area. In 2013, Cincinnati Habitat and Tri-state Habitat merged to become Habitat for Humanity of Greater Cincinnati. HFHGC is excited to celebrate a rich and meaningful history, from the first home built in Northern Kentucky to having built, repaired or renovated more than 550 homes locally and supported the building of 830 homes internationally.

"As we reflect on our journey, we are grateful for the unparalleled support of our volunteers, communities, corporate sponsors and faith partners for 30 years of building homes, communities and hope." said Ed Lee, HFHGC President and CEO. "With your collective prayers, trust and help, our organization has thrived."

A year of celebrations will include highlights of past successes, program spotlights and announcements of forthcoming plans and events. Habitat family and friends are invited to reminisce with HFHGC at a special Volunteer Appreciation event in April, and join them at their 30th Anniversary celebration dinner in November. More details will be released soon.
