Folsom Police to Crack Down on Drunk Driving Super Bowl Weekend
If you plan on drinking on Super Bowl Sunday, designate a sober driver to get you home safely. That's the message from the Folsom Police Department. Additional officers will be deployed on special DUI saturation patrol throughout Folsom on February 7, specifically to stop and arrest drivers showing signs of alcohol or drug impairment during and following the game.
"Drunk driving is completely preventable," said Folsom Police Sergeant Kirk Morris. "If people take a little time and plan their night we can keep the roadway safe for all. Drunk driving is a choice. Drink or drive- but never do both." Learn more.

New Street Sweeper Added to City Fleet
Folsom streets will now be swept clean with a new, high-tech, fuel-efficient street sweeper. More than 2,500 miles of roadways are swept annually by two street sweepers in order to remove paper, leaves and other debris that collects in gutters. Street sweeping keeps city streets looking well-kept and minimizes localized flooding by keeping storm drains clear.
