Since September 2015 the LaAmistad   Volunteers have shared
14,000 hours of  motivation,  840,000 hours of  inspiration and  50,400,000 minutes of transformation

LaAmistad is successful because of the countless hours that our volunteers generously donate. On Saturday the 16th of April LaAmistad will host a volunteer appreciation breakfast to honor the dedicated individuals that share their talents with our families.

Please join us as we celebrate the gift of volunteerism.

The LaAmistad Afterschool program serves over 250 students and has 8 sites serving the Atlanta Public School system, Fulton County and Dekalb County. Our families and students each week take on new challenges and create new bonds.   Starting in April, two students will be recognized by Telemundo Atlanta as students of the month. Each student will be highlighted during the evening news at 5:30, 6:00 and 11:00 p.m.  We are happy to announce that  Kimberly from Church of the New Covenant and Thania from Peachtree Presbyterian will be making their debut on Telemundo.

Congratulations Karen and Thania!!  Stay tuned!!

Continual
Improvement
[im- proov -m uh  nt]
In our commitment to continual improvement, we kindly ask you to help us better understand your perspective and your suggestions by taking a few moments to answer a short survey  that has been designed specifically for LaAmistad.

We are conducting research to better serve our volunteers and participants. This survey is being sent to everyone who receives the LaAmistad newsletter and was prepared by a class of graduating university student from the University of Lafayette at Louisiana.

As you may know, our vision is for Latino students and families throughout Georgia to thrive in their educational, personal, and career pursuits while working together to transform local communities. The survey will take less than 10 minutes to complete and is available in both English and  Spanish. Select the link with the version you prefer.

Thank you very much for your time and cooperation.

Best Regards,
