Here are a few highlights from the ongoing work at the Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB).
CVB's Social Media Following Increases by 5,000+ in 3rd Quarter

The Convention and Visitors Bureau's (CVB) Visit Santa Clara social media channels grew in the FY 2015-16 3rd quarter by 5,030 followers. Nearly 40,000 opt-in online users now follow the CVB's social media channels.

According to Forbes Magazine, a social media follower of an organization page is worth $100. Using that metric, the economic impact for Santa Clara in gaining these new followers was $503,000 for the quarter. 


"50 Awesome Things to Do in Santa Clara" Blog 

Consumers are learning more and more about what there is to see and do in Santa Clara thanks to a blog created by the Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB). Views of "50 Awesome Things to Do in Santa Clara" were up 37% in the FY 2015-16 3rd quarter as total blog views reached nearly 36,000.

In addition, the blog has been mentioned in both print and electronic media, generating thousands of dollars of free publicity for Santa Clara visitor attractions

CVB Destination Video "The Game" Tops 4,000 Views

In the FY 2015-16 3rd quarter, the destination video produced by the Convention and Visitors Bureau received 2,477 new views, a 61% increase. Overall, the video which highlighted Super Bowl 50 coming to Santa Clara is up to 4,061 views. The economic impact of a video view is valued at $30.
