Linda Warden, Executive Director
I want to invite you to come join us at 5:30pm on April 21st at Cardinal Health as we celebrate our Women of Promise event.

This year's event will be hosted at Cardinal Health in Dublin.  Special thanks to our NDCC Board Members, Ola Snow and Kendell Sherrer, who have made it all possible. We truly appreciate the partnership they have forged with Cardinal Health to host us in their beautiful facility.

Women of Promise is our signature event filled with food, fun and celebration. This year's lead sponsors, Honda and LBrands, and many other sponsors will help us to raise more than $230,000 in one evening! And supporters like Brownie Points, White Castle and our Bar Sponsor, Northwest Title will help make the evening an even greater success!  These sponsors make it possible for us to deliver the life-changing programming that we have provided for more than 36 years.

Year after year women enter the Center in the midst of various transitions looking for support, guidance and encouragement. We celebrate these extraordinary women by naming our Woman of Promise. Our 2016 Woman of Promise has an inspiring story to share about reinvention, perseverance and resiliency.  Her story demonstrates the impact of the work we do to assist our clients to find stability, security and success - you won't want to miss it!

This year's event has some exciting news, which will be announced below by our Women of Promise Committee Chair and  Board Trustee, Martha Hubbell, of Huntington Bank. She and the committee are doing a tremendous amount of work preparing for what will be a wonderful event.

Please join me and the NDCC Board of Trustees as we celebrate Women of Promise 2016.  Your $75 ticket can be purchased online at www.NewDirectionsCC.org.

We look forward to celebrating a fun evening with you.

Martha Hubbell, Committee Chair and Board Member
Our Women of Promise Committee has been hard at work for several months now to create a phenomenal event for 2016!

This year we will move our auction to the digital age with a mobile bidding platform.  This opportunity will allow you, as paying guests and donors, to use your mobile phones to place bids and counter bids, follow items, and make donations from the palm of your hand - whether you are in attendance or not!

An added feature to this new rollout is that the auction will be open for viewing and bidding starting Thursday April 14th!  You will be able to see all of the packages, create lists of favorites, and keep up-to-date with bidding via your mobile device. You will even be able to check out on your phone at Women of Promise!  Simply scan your credit card upon registration, and at the end of the evening receive a cart with all your winning items that you can process with the swipe of your finger - similar to mobile pay features such a s CurrenC or Apple Pay.  No checkout lines - and you can be assured that all your information will be encrypted and secure!

Now that I have whetted your appetite for what is sure to be a streamlined auction, here are a few reminders:
  • You will receive an email and/or text message to announce the opening of the auction Thursday April 14th.  Take this opportunity to pre-register for the event from this link and your check-in time the night of the event will be cut in half!

  • Come to Cardinal Health with your mobile phones charged and ready to bid!

  • Register your credit card to bypass the checkout line.

  • Have fun! Our auction is known for the great packages we offer and this year is no exception! We have many new trips and baskets to excite one and all!
Lastly, I want to take a moment to thank all of my committee members. These dedicated ladies - the majority of whom have been involved in this fun event for more than 5 years - work hard to make this signature event a great success year after year.  Please join us to make our 21st Women of Promise event a big success!
