WPSF "HATS OFF" Winter Campaign
Runs through December 16

Looking for a simple way to acknowledge a special teacher or staff member?

For nearly 30 years, the Wayland Public Schools Foundation (WPSF) has supported teachers by funding classroom innovations and creative units of study not covered by the regular school budget. Making a donation to the Wayland Public Schools Foundation is a perfect way to say “Thank You!” to that special teacher or staff member.

The WPSF encourages the ordering of HATS Off certificates through their website at www.waylandpublicschoolsfoundation.org. Certificate forms are also available for download and can be mailed to P.O. Box 97, Wayland, MA 01778, along with a check made payable to the Wayland Public Schools Foundation. Donations qualify for matching gifts at participating companies.

A personalized certificate will be sent to the faculty member of your choice. The donation amount will not be disclosed. The deadline for HATS Off donations is Wednesday, December 16th.

Spotlight on Emergency Planning at Home for Families

Doug Leard, former Selectman, and Chair of Wayland’s Emergency Planning Committee, is the guest, as Wayland Weekly Buzz spotlights this important issue in its latest program. In Wayland we have preparedness incorporated into our school curriculum. But families are on their own. The program, airing December 6 and 8, focuses on examples, resources, and concrete steps to show families how to think about and prepare for an emergency, whatever it may be. It airs Sundays and Tuesdays at 10am and 6pm on Wayland’s Public cable channel, then on-demand, anytime, at www.waycam.tv/buzz .
