Announcing our 2016 raffle with a magical grand prize: Four Disney Hopper tickets, airfare and accommodations! Special thanks to our raffle sponsor, One World Travel of Burlington.
Disney Hopper passes  allow entry to more than one theme park per day. With Park Hopper  you can go to and from all four of the Disney  World Parks in a single day- Magic Kingdom, Hollywood Studios, Animal Kingdom and Disney  Epcot.

Only 250 tickets will be sold, and they're going fast! Tickets are $20 each or 3 for $50. Tickets are available at the Community Action offices in Delavan (262) 728-8296 or Beloit (608) 313-1300. 

Grand prize drawing is at 7:00pm at the Twin Oaks Golf Outing on Monday, June 13. Need not be present to win. Official rules and details are available on our website. 
Overcoming obstacles

Denise arrived at Twin Oaks facing more than just homelessness: she was newly blind.  While at Twin Oaks she worked hard to keep the community kitchen clean. She was also very involved making crafts as gifts, and served as an inspiration to the others living in the shelter. 

Denise found an apartment in Burlington, but plans to come back to volunteer at Twin Oaks this spring.

What we're learning this month

Twin Oaks residents participate in mandatory workshops during their 90-day stay. These workshops supplement our one-on-one case management to ensure families are ready to move past their housing crisis.

In April, Twin Oaks families are learning about anger management, health awareness, personal perception and gardening.
