Dear Members of the Emma Willard School Community,
I am pleased to be chairing the Search Committee for Emma Willard School's 17th Head of School, and want to promise you that the search process will be inclusive and transparent. There will be specific opportunities for you to participate in the search process, and we welcome your comments and inquiries at any time. You will also find frequent updates about the progress of the search on the school website.
We are planning on a Search Committee of 11 members, including eight trustees and three members of Emma Willard School's faculty/staff. You will find a list of committee members on the school website just after the board meetings in mid-May.
Our consultants, Chris Arnold and Dr. Jerry Larson, will be visiting campus on April 25-27 to meet with faculty, administrators, students, staff, and available alumnae and parents to learn about Emma's unique culture and the qualities we desire in our next Head of School.
This is an exciting time in the life of the school. With the guidance and expertise of Educational Directions, we are confident that the 17th Head of Emma Willard School will be an educator and leader worthy of our 202-year history.
