Each local unit has two voting delegates.  
They can be the President and a delegate OR two delegates.  
The meetings are open to all PTA members.

The 18th Annual Family Cafe is set for June 10-12, 2016 at the Hyatt Regency Orlando.

This three-day event provides a venue for people with disabilities and their families to learn about available services, connect with policy makers and network with each other. It features dozens of breakout sessions, a full Exhibit Hall, a series of Keynotes and multiple opportunities to interact with other families informally.

There is no registration fee for individuals with disabilities and their family members or caregivers. Professionals are required to pay a $150 registration fee.

At this time all Financial Assistance has been awarded.

Every year, the Florida Department of Education surveys the parents of students with an Individual Education Plan (IEP). (Students in the gifted program are not included in this survey unless they have an IEP for another special need.)

The survey is open online from February 1 - May 31.

You can complete the survey HERE, or request a paper copy from your school. The survey takes less than 10 minutes to complete.

    Florida PTA Principal of the Year

    Behind every successful PTA/PTSA, there is a school principal who is supportive, helpful and personally involved in the PTA/PTSA.

    To recognize the principal who best fits this description, Florida PTA honors an Outstanding Principal of the Year.  If your principal promotes the mission of PTA and purposes of the Florida PTA and encourages the use of the National Standards for Parent/Family Involvement, please go to our web site to show your support by nominating her/him for the Florida PTA Outstanding Principal of the Year.

    The deadline for submission is May 1, 2016, but the easy to complete applications are live and ready to be completed.

    Florida PTA Reflections Reception

    If your local unit has students that received
    Awards of Excellence or Awards of Merit
    at the STATE level of judging with Florida PTA,
    the students and their families are invited
    to Florida PTA's Reflections Reception
    in Orlando on May 14, 2016.

    All Florida Reflections 2016 Awards of Excellence and Awards of Merit
    will receive awards at this event.

    Event is open to all. Must RSVP to attend.

      The Teacher Supply Depot needs volunteers YEAR 'ROUND!
      High School students are welcome all summer long -- except Memorial Day and July 4th.
     Students who need creative hours for the IB program are also welcome.    
    Please wear comfortable work clothes that could get dirty (we may be painting).

    under 18 who is not accompanied by an adult.

    Please join Drug Free Duval as we support Duval Department of Health and Duval County Public Schools 2015 release of the Youth Risk Behavior Survey Results
     
    The data is critical to the work of our coalition, as well as other agencies working toward health and wellness in Duval County. DFD’s Executive Director, Susan Pitman, is presenting the data related to Alcohol, Tobacco and Other Drugs.
