Dear Friends,

With the arrival of spring, it is easy to forget we are in the middle of an important Primary Election.  Early voting will continue through Thursday, April 21st from 10AM to 8PM and Primary Election Day is April 26, 2016, 7 am until 8 pm.

One thing that I believe you can do that will help you, help your children and help our County is making sure you cast a vote for Cheryl Landis for School Board District 5. .

With over 36 years of experience as a community organizer, activist and volunteer much of it involving the school system and its clients, our children. Cheryl has worked for the Board of Education for over 27 years, and is now working for the Excellence in Education Foundation and holds positions in several other capacities which strengthen the relationship between business partners and the school system.  Cheryl has demonstrated a lifetime of experience in education.  Cheryl has set her goals for academic excellence, full funding of public education, family and community engagement, safe and supportive environments, a high performing workforce and organizational effectiveness.  I have faith that Cheryl's excellent track record of performance in the education field shows she can achieve these goals and more.

I believe a vote for Cheryl Landis is a vote towards safer schools, better communication and a better Prince George's County.  I firmly believe my work on the Appropriations House Committee and my job for you to secure maximum education funding will be best put to use when we all have a mature, experienced and honest partner like Cheryl Landis on the School Board.
Cheryl will support our common goals-she will be a true partner in trying to accomplish our aims for safer, high tech, and well-funded schools.

I hope you share my enthusiasm for Cheryl and vote for her for District 5 School Board.

Regards
Geraldine
