In 2015, The Bakken Museum was the grateful beneficiary of nearly 7000 hours of volunteer service. More than 100 individuals and dozens of groups and programming partners found the time to join the mission of The Bakken - inspiring a passion for science!
We are always looking for individuals and groups willing to help us maintain our 3.5 acres of beautiful grounds and gardens. We have an "informal" garden group of volunteers who meet each Tuesday and Thursday evening (weather permitting).
The Bakken Museum is pleased to announce "Be My Heart" by Nilton DeOliveira, Jr., as the winner of the St. Jude Medical exhibit design competition. A first for The Bakken, this unique design competition challenged SJM employees to create an innovative experience for an upcoming exhibit, Inventing for Health.
We are currently looking for talented people who want to join us in our mission of inspiring a passion for science! We have openings in several areas including some wonderful "seasonal" opportunities for college and high school students to work with young inventors and help them develop confidence, skills, and an interest in science by leading and supporting daily summer camp activity.
