April is National Volunteerism Month
Honoring Those Who Donate Their Time
Volunteers work for free, not because they are worthless, but because they are priceless. Consider the benefits of volunteerism for you and  for your organization . V olunteering is good for the soul and good for those in need.
Here are 5 good reasons to volunteer today:
1)    Reports show that giving your time to others can make you feel more 'time affluent' and less time-constrained than wasting your time, spending it on yourself, or even getting a windfall of free time.
2)    Volunteering your skills help to develop new skills in return.
3)    Volunteering brings together a diverse range of people from all backgrounds and walks of life and can offer incredible networking opportunities.
4)    Volunteering is a brilliant way to get life experience. Whether you build a library or mail flyers to raise awareness for a local charity, you will experience the real world through hands-on work.
5)    Lastly, volunteering leads you to find the joy of serving others and helping to improve our local community. Make a difference, meet people, gain new skills, and add a whole new experience to your life.

The future awaits you - Volunteer!

Caryl Cares
Caryl Communications got involved with the New Jersey chapter of the March of Dimes some years ago.  We do pro-bono publicity for their annual Real Estate Awards Reception, a forum that raises awareness of their cause while honoring a real estate industry leader for improving maternal/child health.  Last year, the Awards Reception, which is combined with the Pynes Putting Challenge, raised over $180,000.

Our experience with this project has been so gratifying on so many levels. When you give your time you get back even more in return, and we have seen firsthand all of the good our work has done to help others.
