The WTS – Heart of Texas Chapter is honored to present Carol Rawson, P.E., Traffic Operations Division Director, TxDOT.
Carol began her career with TxDOT in the Design Division in 1986. She then joined the newly formed Traffic Management Section of the Maintenance Division in which she was a key contributor in the development of the Intelligent Transportation System initiative. She later served as the branch manager of field coordination in the division's Traffic Engineering Section. In 1999, she was promoted to Traffic Operations deputy director. In 2010, she became Traffic Operations division director.
She earned a bachelor's degree in civil engineering from the University of Texas at Austin in 1986 and was licensed as a professional engineer in 1990.
