Pack your fridge with the liveliest most delicious
condiments in town! Fermented vegetables are flavorful, loaded with micronutrients and, YES, easy to make in your home kitchen. Join Susan Chiappini and we'll make sauerkraut, kim chi and gingered carrots while covering the basic techniques of shredding, chopping, salting and storage. You'll leave class with a mason jar of kraut to ferment at home.

Springtime Thai Cuisine with Chef Deja Hart |

Chef Deja Hart, a master of Thai cuisine, will share her knowledge of flavor profiles and techniques in this hands on class. Classically trained, Chef Deja is the former Executive Chef at Karma, a boutique Thai restaurant in Manhattan Beach, CA. Come to learn something new and enjoy a delicious Springtime inspired meal.
Menu: Savory Shrimp Thai French Toast with Watercress, Spring Vegetable Stir Fry with rice noodles and chile-vinegar sauce, Sesame Tuiles with Coconut Ice Cream. We'll also taste wines to compliment the menu.

In this demonstration style class Private Chef Sharyn Singer will show us how to prepare perfect salmon, every time! She'll go over the different types of salmon and what to look for when purchasing it. She'll teach 5 delicious recipes including Salmon en Papilotte, Baked Salmon, Poached Salmon, Sautéed and Cured Salmon. We'll taste everything made in class and wines to compliment the menu.

Simple fresh cheeses are versatile, economical,
and most of all delicious. Susan
Chiappini will
demonstrate how to make ricotta, yogurt, and creme fraiche in your home kitchen. We'll then use our fresh ricotta to make a light and flavorful gnocchi dish to share. All the best local resources for milk and cheese making supplies will be discussed.

Taking local fish, shellfish and seaweeds, Chef Christophe Jalbert blends his love of the ocean and charcuterie in this hands-on class where he'll teach us to make creative seafood terrines, pates and sausages - Sharkcuterie, he's coined it. Artful presentation is emphasized and we'll eat everything we make & taste wines to compliment the menu.

Alain Hugard is a native of France and studied at Culinary Arts School in Paris. A few years after graduating he and his American wife opened a
small family restaurant in Paris. For the past 20 +
years he has served as the Private Chef to the
Barron Hilton family, owners of Hilton Hotels and
for the late RI Senator and Mrs. Claibourne Pell. He has taught classes for the Alliance Francaise and enjoys sharing his love of cooking and eating classic French cuisine with both adults and children.

Brush up on your knife skills in this hands-on class as we prepare a hearty Spanish Tapas menu with Chef Alexandra Day. Classically trained at the French Culinary Institute in NYC, Chef Alex brings a
multitude of culinary knowledge to each class she instructs. You'll want to bring your favorite knife, or borrow one of ours, and be prepared for some fun slicing, dicing and learning new techniques. We'll eat everything we make and taste wine to compliment.

Mastering Delicious Meatless Mondays with Chef Sharyn Singer |

Monday, May 23rd 6 - 8pm at The Newport Cooks Kitchen
No meat, no problem! In this hands on and emonstration style class, Private Chef
Sharyn Singer will guide us through a number of delicious vegetarian appetizer and entree recipes, all with vegan and gluten-free options. A registered Naturopath and lifetime healthy food advocate, Chef Sharon will share helpful hints and tips to add flavor, texture and richness to vegetarian recipes that will have dyed in the wool carnivores asking for seconds!
Menu: Farinata with Spring Vegetables, Spring Greens Pie, Quinoa and Black Bean Vegetable Burgers with Tahini Sauce, Crispy Polenta Chips, and Zucchini Fritters. We'll taste wine to compliment the menu.
