Ladysmith Spring Farmers Market

The Spring Farmers Market at the 49th Parallel Grocery store sponsored by the Ladysmith Chamber of Commerce will run on Tuesdays from 9 am to 1 pm until June 7th.  The Market will then move to Transfer Beach on Saturdays from June 18th until September 17th from 11am to 3pm.  Hope you can take some time to come down and enjoy and support the market.

Community Gaming Grant Information Workshop

The BC Association for Charitable Gaming (BCACG) is a non-profit society that represents and supports community groups applying for a Community Gaming Grant. David Sheach is the Executive Director and is presenting an information workshop about Community Gaming Grants. This workshop will help you prepare an accurate application and manage the funding according to the conditions of the grant - and answer your questions too.   Click here for more information.

Chamber Members are invited!
The Ladysmith Downtown Business Association is switching things up a little this month and are trying out an evening membership meeting on Wednesday, April 20th, 2016 from 6:00 - 7:30pm upstairs at the Legion.  Afterwards, they are hosting a business mixer with drink specials at the Fox & Hounds and they've invited Chamber members to join in on the festivities!  (In fact, all business owners in town are welcome to attend both/either the meeting and mixer, regardless of membership)   Join us and our LDBA colleagues for a bit of networking and fun - see you April 20th.
 
May 2nd: "5th Annual First Avenue Trash Pickup" from 11 am to 12 pm, meet outside Royal LePage
 
May 30th: Heart&Stroke Big Bike, join the "LDBA Outrageous Cruisers" (minimum fundraise is $50 per person)

Beautiful weather last weekend brought 900+ people to the Show this year.  Thank you to all of the  Exhibitors  that participated as well as our invaluable volunteers, COPS (Citizens on Patrol) for their overnight security, the 49th Parallel Grocery for their continued support.
