The Katy ISD 2015 graduating class surpassed the state and national average SAT scores in all subject areas: Critical Reading, Mathematics and Writing. Furthermore, Katy ISD graduates increased mean scores in Critical Reading for the third consecutive year, and mean scores in Writing for the second consecutive year. At the state and national levels, mean scores declined in all three subject areas. This year, a total of 3,265 students participated in SAT testing, an increase of 147 students from 2014. According to American School & University's (ASU) Top 100 Report issued each year, Katy ISD has jumped 38 spots since 2007, and currently ranks 57th nationwide. Rankings in the Top 100 Report are based on enrollment in public school districts across the nation. Read more...

Fielder Elementary student Joshua Okolo used his summer break to strengthen his math skills by participating in Think Through Math's 2015 Texas Summer THINK Challenge. Over the course of the eight-week challenge, Okolo completed and passed 158 math lessons, making him the Grand Prize Winner out of all students in Texas.
