That being said, we think we've picked some of the best to tell you about, so let's get to it!

For the Little Ones...
Is it possible to be too in love with a storybook? Because this one might be more wonderful than we can handle...
One day, a bear cub finds something strange and wonderful in the forest. When he touches the keys, they make a horrible noise. Yet he is drawn back again and again. Eventually, he learns to play beautiful sounds, delighting his woodland friends. Then the bear is invited to share his sounds with new friends in the city. He longs to explore the world beyond his home, and to play bigger and better than before. But he knows that if he leaves, the other bears will be very sad... This gorgeously illustrated tale of following one's dreams reminds us of the value of friendship, wherever we go.

For the In-Betweens...

Yes, that's right: There is a brand new Kate DiCamillo book, and supposedly, this is her best yet!

Raymie Clarke has come to realize that everything, absolutely everything, depends on her. And she has a plan. If Raymie can win the Little Miss Central Florida Tire competition, then her father, who left town two days ago with a dental hygienist, will see Raymie's picture in the paper and (maybe) come home. To win, not only does Raymie have to do good deeds and learn how to twirl a baton; she also has to contend with the wispy, frequently fainting Louisiana Elefante, who has a show-business background, and the fiery, stubborn Beverly Tapinski, who's determined to sabotage the contest. But as the competition approaches, loneliness, loss, and unanswerable questions draw the three girls into an unlikely friendship and challenge each of them to come to the rescue in unexpected ways.

For the Teens...

Is it just us or is historical fiction having a real moment in the YA world right now? First we had Honor Girl, and then there was  Anna and the Swallow Man and Salt to the Sea, and now we've got Girl in the Blue Coat by Monica Hesse and these just keep getting better!
Hanneke is a black market dealer in Amsterdam in 1943. When she receives what she assumes is just an ordinary call for meat or kerosene, she is shocked to hear that Mrs. Janssen needs her to find a missing Jewish teenager who has vanished in the middle of the night. Beautifully written, intricately plotted, and meticulously researched, "Girl in the Blue Coat "is an extraordinary, gripping novel from a bright new voice.

When robot Roz opens her eyes for the first time, she discovers that she is alone on a remote, wild island. Why is she there? Where did she come from? And, most important, how will she survive in her harsh surroundings? Roz's only hope is to learn from the island's hostile animal inhabitants. When she tries to care for an orphaned gosling, the other animals finally decide to help, and the island starts to feel like home. Until one day, the robot's mysterious past comes back to haunt her.... Heartwarming and full of action, Peter Brown's middle-grade debut raises thought-provoking questions about the environment, the role technology plays in our world, and what it means to be alive.

Fans of Ready Player One will love this one!

Everyday Reality is a Drag.
FUN, the latest in augmented reality, is fun! It's also frustrating, glitchy, and dangerously addictive . Just when everyone else is getting on, 17-year-old Aaron O'Faolain wants off.
But first he has to complete his Application for Termination, and in order to do that he has to deal with his History - not to mention the present, including his grandfather's suicide and a series of clues that may (or may not) lead to buried treasure. As he attempts to unravel the mystery, Aaron is sidetracked again... and again. Shadowed by his virtual "best friend," Homie, Aaron struggles with love, loss, dog bites, community theater, wild horses, wildfires, and the fact (deep breath) that actual reality can sometimes surprise you.
