RHN Provides Food to Families and Seniors in Need During the Holidays

RHN members identified patients most in need of support. These families were deemed most likely to be readmitted to the hospital, or who were not able to leave their homes. As a result, RHN provided meals for 150 meals to raise funds and was able to feed 40 elderly residents.

Additionally, canned goods and other food items were delivered to 65 residents just in time for Thanksgiving.

The Supporting Tri-County Aging Residents (STAR) tree was instrumental in collecting 34 warm blankets and collected 1800 pounds of food that was distributed to 65 elderly residents last December.

RHN member, Millennium Home Care, writes:
Thank you so much for the food that you gave us.  The six people that we were able to help over the holidays were so very grateful.  One gentleman said that this was the true meaning of the holidays -- helping others -- and that he would have a nice dinner because of the food.  One lady said that we had made her day.  All six clients said what a difference the food made for them especially at this time of the year.  The food that you brought us this week will go to different people so that everyone can benefit.  Thanks so much!
