The Small Business Development Center at Waubonsee is joining the Elgin Small Business Development Center this year for the 2nd Annual Poised for Growth Business Plan Competition. The winner will take home a prize of $10,000! Any for-profit business headquartered in IL, in business for 3 years or longer is eligible. They are now accepting applications. Workshops will be held in Feb. and Mar. to provide assistance to applicants.
Shirley Mott, Owner of The Write Word Copywriting and Editorial Services, is a devoted representative of the Batavia Chamber of Commerce. She is an enthusiastic volunteer that assists the Chamber in immeasurable ways, from serving on the Inspire Awards Committee, being our camera-ready photographer at many Chamber events, attending ribbon cutting ceremonies, being a BWIB board member, serving as an Ambassador, attending NetWorking It! events and much more.
