Module Category: The Heart of the Teacher (HTM)
The practice is an invitation to slow down and connect to the source of your movement. Is it free? Is it stable? Is it distorted? Is it honest? You will be asked to notice patterns and question their usefulness or health. The intention of the practice is to reclaim lost connections in order to express yourself more fully and take greater advantage of being alive.
The training will introduce concepts and theory behind the practice. You will leave with a greater understanding of how the brain is involved with movement, how to offer a class that respects limitations and gives more options for working with them. You will be given a new lens with which to look through when working with bodies of all capabilities.
Module credit for the Union Tree 500HR Teacher Training,
20HRS of Continuing Education Credits for teachers.
Applications must be submitted to UTSY at least two weeks prior
to the first module you seek to attend.
