Raising A Reader Blue Bag Library Days are here! Between now and the end of April, we have scheduled more than 50 class field trips to local libraries. Children will learn all about the library, hear a story, and then receive a new, blue, Raising A Reader book bag they can keep forever. They also receive their first library card and will check out their first books. These events encourage families to build a lifelong relationship with their library, and they signal the transition from a RED book bag received weekly through classrooms, to a BLUE book bag they'll now use at their library.
