REGISTER NOW FOR EDUCATION SERIES #4
With the speaker lineup in its final stages of being confirmed, the PGA of British Columbia is pleased to invite members to register for Education Series #4, taking place at the Fairmont Hot Springs Resort on April 25, 2016. 

Registration for members is $19.00+GST. Non-members are welcome for $39.00+GST and must be accompanied by a PGA of BC member. All members will receive 4 PDP points to register.

PGA OF CANADA ANNOUNCES BURSARY PROGRAM RECIPIENTS
The Association would like to congratulate the four PGA of BC members that were named PGA of Canada Bursary Program recipients earlier this week.

Congratulations to Tyler McNeil (Rob Houlding Golf Academy), Matt Dunn (Shaughnessy Golf & Country Club), Darcy Dhillon (Two Eagles Golf Course & Academy), and Randy Frank (Olympic View Golf Club).  The PGA of Canada Foundation Bursary Program is to assist, encourage and promote the attainment of professional development and part time education opportunities to enhance the skills and abilities of PGA of Canada Members and Candidates for Membership.

PGA OF CANADA ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES SURVEY
The PGA of Canada, in partnership with the National Golf Foundation and NGCOA Canada, have launched a research initiative regarding the different roles and responsibilities of golf professionals. The data will be used to support PGA of Canada professionals in his or her chosen employment and educational pursuits.

The PGA of Canada is asking for all professionals to complete the following survey.  

Your participation is key to the success of this project . The grand prizes for all survey participants will include the chance to win 1 (one) of 3 (three) $500 Visa gift cards. Additional prizing for PGA of Canada professionals who complete the survey will include the chance to win 1 (one) of 3 (three) $100 Visa gift cards, 5 (five) PGA of Canada New Era caps, and 2 (two) BioSteelSports prize packs.
CONGRATULATIONS
Congratulations to Bryn Parry (Seymour Creek Golf Centre) and Dave Zibrik (Point Grey Golf & Country Club) for finishing in shared first on Monday at the Srixon Tour's event at Richmond Country Club. Both cashed $500 for their winning score of 2-under 70. Matt Makinson (Eaglequest Golf Center at Coyote Creek) finished one stroke behind, taking home $350.

FACT OF THE WEEK 
Over 50 years ago, PGA of BC Life Member Alvie Thompson competed in the 1963 Masters where he shot a final round 71 to finish in a tie for 28th Place. He made more birdies (13) than eventual Champion Jack Nicklaus (11) who finished the Tournament at two-under par 286. For his efforts, Alvie cashed a cheque for $750. In comparison, Jason Day finished T28 in 2015 cashing $68,000.
