Market News

The Bureau of Labor Statistics reported on April 1 that employers added 215,000 jobs in March, also boosting the estimates for January and February increases. March's data lifted the 12-month growth to just over three million. The labor force participation rate also grew by .01%, with almost 400,000 joining the workforce. That helps employers struggling to find skilled workers and is an indication that long-term unemployed and part-time are more encouraged.
