April is National Donate Life Month
National Donate Life Month (NDLM) was instituted by Donate Life America and its partnering organizations in 2003. Celebrated in April each year, NDLM features an entire month of local, regional and national activities to help encourage Americans to register as organ, eye and tissue donors and to celebrate those that have saved lives through the gift of donation. This year, NDLM focuses on the mighty sunflower. It's difficult to overlook their stature and bright color. A sunflower's orangey yellow hue evokes feelings of optimism, warmth and cheerfulness. Often found in fields, they stand confident, sheltering each other and following the light throughout their lives. 
Most Livable Places at 50+
May of last year, AARP published an article announcing the most livable places at 50 plus years old with the top cities and towns to stay health, get around, and enjoy life. By surveying 4,500 Americans 50 years old and older, a new online tool was developed by AARP called the AARP Livability Index, designed to help communities better serve the nation's aging population.
Understanding the Difference Between Trustees and Executors 
For many people new to estate planning or estate administration, the differences between the various types of fiduciaries involved may seem confusing. People who have both a will and a trust will also have personal representatives and trustees. In Massachusetts, a personal representative is the technical name for the more commonly known term "executor." It is important to understand the differences in the roles of trustees and personal representatives.
