SAT/ACT NEWS
Juniors, please make sure to register for the SAT and/or the ACT as soon as possible. Spots fill up very quickly. For a step by step guide, click here.

Samueli Academy in partnership with Stepping up Testing Services is offering SAT/ACT tutoring. Tutoring will take place every Saturday between Jan 16th through Feb 27th from 8:30-11:30 AM on campus. The cost is $144 per student. This includes 7 sessions, a test prep workbook, a pre and post  SAT/ACT exam, and a specific student profile. Samueli Academy has committed to paying for half of the cost. We ask that students register and pay the $72 fee by Friday, January 8th. Paying in full guarantees a spot in the tutoring program. Payment must be submitted to Ms. Rocio.

Teen Entrepreneur Academy- One week residential business and entrepreneurship summer camp at Concordia University in Irvine. Opportunity is open to students in grades 9-12. Scholarships are available for qualifying students. For more information, click here.

California Youth Leadership Forum-Free summer program in Sacramento for students with disabilities in the 11th grade. Applications due January 15th. For questions contact Ms. Rocio or the program's line at (855)894-3436.

Bank of America Student Leaders Internship- Program open to juniors only. The internship is not only a paid internship at a non profit near you but also includes an all expenses paid trip to Washington DC for the Student Leaders Conference. Applications are due on January 29th. Click

Volunteer Work
Universities and scholarship committees seek that students give back to their community. There are several volunteer opportunities. Whenever students complete hours, students must write them into their log. Logs are available outside of Ms. Rocio's office.
