Fullerton College Participates in Community Service Day
Fullerton College loves Fullerton every day. But that love will be stepped up on April 30 when the college participates in the annual community service day known as Love Fullerton. The college will be organizing a collection for the FC Food Bank, recruiting at least 100 volunteers and will be the location of the afternoon barbecue.

Fullerton College Hosts 2nd Annual Veterans Career and Resource Fair
Fullerton College's Veterans Resource Center will host the 2nd annual Veteran's Career and Resource Fair on Thursday, April 7 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the campus quad. Nearly 50 organizations will be present to connect veterans, dependents of veterans, students, and community members to services offered within the surrounding community and the college. The free event is open to all veterans, students and the community.

In support of National Sexual Assault Awareness Month, Fullerton College will host numerous workshops and events throughout the month of April. The campus-wide events are designed to educate, encourage, and provide students with access to a network of support. Many of the events are open to all students and members of the Fullerton community.

FC Night at Angel Stadium Details
Campus sales are over, but tickets are still available online at
angels.com/fullcoll for the FC Night at Angel Stadium on Saturday, April 9. Be sure to get to the game early. Pre-game activities start at 4:30 p.m. near Gates 4 and 5. You will want to be in your seat by 5:45 p.m. to see President Greg Schulz throw out the ceremonial pitch!
Open House Introduces Middle and High School Students to STEM Programs at FC
The Natural Sciences Division and Technology and Engineering Division recently hosted their annual STEM Open House and welcomed 140 students from seven local middle and high schools. The event exposed students to different aspects of science, technology, engineering and mathematics.

Fullerton College Hosts 21st Annual KinderCaminata
Fullerton College is preparing once again to welcome nearly 2,000 kindergartners to campus on Friday, April 8 for the 21st annual KinderCaminata. The event, which focuses on instilling the importance of a college education and exposing children to various career options, will feature more than 40 lively demonstrations and hands-on learning experiences for Kindergarten classes from Anaheim City, Fullerton, and La Habra City school districts.

Sociology Club Sock Collection for the Homeless
The Sociology Club is hosting a collection for new socks for men, women and children to donate to Pathways of Hope, a local homeless shelter in Fullerton. There is a drop-off box in Office Suite 1423 or socks can be sent to Angie Andrus through campus mail. Contact Andrus for more information at

'America by the Numbers' Educational Screening
This is the first national series to explore the impact of the new American mainstream - the growing numbers of Asians, Latinos, African American, persons of mixed race, immigrants, women, youth and LGBT persons. The screenings will be shown from 2 to 2:30 p.m. on Mondays and Tuesdays in the Cadena Cultural Center, Room 212.
Interview and Elevator Speech Workshop
In this workshop, students will learn proper interview etiquette and how to positively impact the employer. Find out how to appropriately follow-up with an employer to get and learn how to best network with employers. This workshop is in the Career and Life Planning Center in Building 2000 on Tuesday, April 5 at noon.
Transfer Center Workshops
The Admission Decisions Part 4 workshop on April 8 at noon, provides students with assistance on their admissions notices. Transfer Basics 501: How to Afford University covers financial aid topics, budgeting, scholarships and special programs to help students afford transferring to a four-year university. This workshop is on Tuesday, April 5 from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
Students must RSVP to the Transfer Center by visiting Building 200, Room 212.

Music faculty will collaborate in ensemble and solo performances to showcase a wide range of musical styles and interpretations. The inaugural Fullerton College Music Faculty Recital is open to all music lovers, with a special invitation to students majoring in music. The recital is in the Campus Theatre at 7:30 p.m.
This concert is directed by Anthony Mazzafero in the Campus Theatre on Tuesday, April 5 at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for children and $7 for seniors and students.

Baseball
The Hornets lost a tough one on the road on Saturday to Orange Coast College 4-3.
Up Next: The Hornets (19-5, 7-2) will try and pick it back up when they host a strong Cypress College team on Tuesday, April 5. Game time is at 2 p.m.
Softball
The Hornets put a stop to their three-game losing streak on Saturday beating Cerritos College 10-1 in a non-conference game.
Up Next: FC (17-13, 6-6) will travel to Riverside City College this Tuesday, April 5. Game time is at 5 p.m.
Men's Track and Field
The Hornets had some good performances Saturday going up against some of Southern California's best track athletes at the Arnie Robinson Invitational in San Diego. Justin Walker continued his success finishing second in the 110m HH in 14.62 seconds and in the Long Jump at 23' 5". Pablo Perez took a couple of second place finishes in the 800m and 5000m. Perez's time of 1:55.72 in the 800m ranks him 12th in all of Southern California. In the throwing events, Francisco Padilla took sixth in the Shot Put at 42' 6.5" and in the Discus he threw 132' 2", a five-foot personal best. The Hornets 4 x 100m-relay team finally got into the action taking second in 44.4 seconds.
Up Next: The Hornets have a bye this week, but will be back in action on April 15 when they face their Orange Empire Conference foes, Riverside and Saddleback Colleges.
Men's Tennis
The Hornets split their conference matches last week beating Cypress College 7-2 on Tuesday, but then fell to Riverside City College 9-0 on Thursday.
Up Next: Fullerton will compete in the Orange Empire Conference Championships beginning on Saturday, April 9 at Riverside City College.
