About the Liberty Art Collection Fabrics

We were fortunate to find a great buy on genuine Liberty Art fabrics. This grouping is from an East Coast designer who had some precious extra to sell. There are three Tana Lawns and two Cotton Dobbys.

Tana Lawn- The silky hand of Tana Lawn is wonderful for blouses, skirts, dresses or trims. Don't miss the opportunity to add this classic cotton fabrication to your collection!

Dobby Cotton- A firmer hand than Tana, Dobby is still lightweight, but the base fabric is woven in a grid design. Great for dresses, skirts, and tops.

One of the seasonal selections of recent years, this floral print features mid-sized blossoms in orchid, shell pink, peach and orange surrounded by sunny yellow foliage and accented with tiny white millefleurs on a rich plum ground.

It's not often that we see geometrics as the defining characteristic of a Liberty Art print. But this one is a delightful pinwheel of angular shapes on a grided white ground. Peeking out from the blue (periwinkle, midnight, royal and azure) polygons are posies of soft yellow and dusty pink. Accents of sage green keep everything popping.

This colorway of the classic floral is a blue lover's delight. Blossoms in warm shades of azure and Baltic blue surrounded by soft jade millefleurs. A Liberty Art Classic

Whimsical, colorful and charming, this conversational print shows the fun side of design. Soft white pear motifs stand in rows on a midnight ground interspersed with primary colored alternates. Lifelike pears in tangerine are artfully place amongst the rows to break up the print and give it a decidedly unique flavor.

Deep red ground supports this classic floral print in deep shades of rose pink, butterscotch, cranberry surrounded by avocado foliage.

The Gray Lady feels good next to your skin.  I like mixing prints in outfits as long as its done carefully. Putting these two fabrics together was an after thought, but I am very pleased with the result.

Simplicity 2148  top    Only three pattern pieces. I constructed it with my serger and used my cover stitch machine to hem the sleeves and bottom as well as topstitching the neckband along the seam.

I like the patterns with the interesting details such as the pattern of the dress with the gathering sleeves #123a from Burda 03/2014. The "Sunday Best" gave me a good drapery.
Thank you, Sawyer Brook! I am pretty sure this dress will be my favorite!

The dress has a fun '60's retro "O" shape silhouette.
How fun is that! Thanks for sharing Guzel!

We like the two fabrics together, they work very well as a team. Nice work as usual!
