FRIDAY, MAY 1ST:

I am very happy to present to you our first collaboration brew with Woodland Empire for your May CSB. What is a collaboration? Generally, two or more breweries get together and create a beer from concept to glass combining their knowledge, experience and sometimes ingredients. In our case, we decided to combine our strengths. Keely and Derek at Woodland are known for their Belgian style beers while I don't hide the fact that I am a die hard hop head. What makes Belgian styles so distinct is the yeast which was provided by the Woodland Empire crew while I designed a hop schedule that I thought would blend well with high gravity Trappist yeast. The result is a surprisingly refreshing brew that beckons for a second taste. Layers of melon, citrus and bubble gum blend together and linger on the tongue. The Belgian yeast charater asserts itself without overwhelming the unique blend of Idaho El Dorado and German Huell Melon hops. I am really pleased with the result and hope you enjoy our creation. MELORADO RELEASE PARTY via Boise Brewing: 

This Friday, check out both Woodland Empire and Boise Brewing tap rooms, where there'll be two separate versions of the Melorado Belgian IPA. Go to Woodland Empire first (3:00 pm - 11:00 pm) to try their keg that's double dry hopped with Galaxy and Nelson Sauvin hops. Then, head over to our tasting room for the BB version that's got a double dose of the Huell Melon and El Dorado hops, Derek, Keely and Lance will all be here, hanging out. Don't wait too long, as there's only one keg of each!
Both Friday and Saturday, people who have tried the beer at both tasting rooms will get a free pint glass, key chain and sticker at the Boise Brewing tap room (while supplies last).
