Dear Parents and Students,
I wish to extend a warm welcome to returning and new families alike as we begin New Haven Ballet's 29th year of providing the finest classical ballet training in the greater New Haven region!
As NHB's Artistic Director, I am dedicated to continuing and strengthening NHB's legacy of programming excellence. NHB boasts an impressive roster of class offerings at all locations, in all divisions (children's, student, and adult open enrichment), and I hope you will consider joining us.
We are off to a tremendous start, with strong student registrations in New Haven and the Shoreline (including a few wait lists) and phenomenal staff, musicians and faculty, who are devoted to working with the students in an environment that allows them to reach their fullest potential. We have added a new studio location in New Haven: The Co-Op Arts and Humanities High School, 177 College Street. And, in an effort to better serve our Shoreline families, NHB Administrator, Ruth Barker, will be offering office hours in our Guilford location on Wednesday afternoons/evenings.
Finally, we are thrilled to present The Nutcracker once again at the newly renovated historic Shubert Theater in downtown New Haven. Continuing a NHB family tradition of more than 15 years, this year's Nutcracker promises to be as breathtaking as ever, with some exciting additions that I look forward to sharing with you over the coming weeks.
If we have not yet met, please feel free to stop by the office when you have a chance. I plan to visit all locations over the next couple of weeks and look forward to meeting each of you.
Here's to a wonderful and successful year!
Sincerely yours,
Lisa Sanborn
