and the Chefs of the Club Culinaire invite you to join us for the 24th annual La Grande Affaire, one of the most talked about fundraising events in Los Angeles. Our chefs have put together a delicious menu again.
Since its inception, this annual black-tie gala has celebrated the best of France's gourmet cuisine and wines while raising funds for priority needs of California Hospital Medical Center. The gala coincides with the international release that day of the Beaujolais Nouveau wines. The elegant Millennium Biltmore Hotel is the perfect backdrop for the event, which this year celebrates the city of Avignon in Provence, South of France, renowned for its international theater festival, beauty and cultural significance. Proceeds from this year's event will go towards the acquisition of a 160-slice CT scanner to provide faster, more detailed imagining critical to diagnosing and treating medical conditions, and to a comprehensive remodeling of the 9th floor to maximize convenience and comfort for patients, families and visitors.
Each year this distinctive event -- which also features silent and live auctions and live musical entertainment -- draws 500 of Los Angeles' top business and community leaders in support of California Hospital Medical Center.
As always, our student chefs and volunteers, assist the lead Chefs to plate up this feast. If you would like to be part of the experience, please email us. Your presence is requested from 3-10pm. Hors d'oeuvres are served from 5:30-7pm, followed by a five-course dinner and a photo-op on stage right before the desert service. Your parking will be validated and dinner is served to all volunteers.
