This fall Matt was invited to Georgia's regional NATS conference, Duke Voice Care Center, Valley of the Sun Chapter of NATS, Ozark's regional NATS conference at Missouri State University, and North Carolina's regional NATS conference as a featured master clinician.

Pop/Rock Book Published

So You Want To Sing Rock: A guide for professionals
Matt signed a book deal with Scarecrow Press and the National Association of Teachers of Singing to author a guide for performers interested in singing rock 'n' roll. The book is written and published and available through Amazon.com and Barnes and Noble.

Matt added to the roster of 

Matt has been added to the roster of coaches for StageLighter.com, an online coaching solution for musical theatre performers. Other coaches include Shoshana Bean, Victoria Clark, Christiane Noll, Natalie Weiss, and Kyle Dean Massey along with university faculty from CCM, Cap21, Penn State, Elon, and Carnegie Mellon.

Troy presented his defense at Shenandoah Conservatory on Nov 28, 2014. He is the fourth graduate of the Doctor of Musical Arts in Voice Pedagogy at Shenandoah Conservatory.


Journal of Singing Article 

An Analysis of Broadway Callback Sides for Female Performers 

Warren Freeman, Philip Sargent and Kathryn Green co-authored this article which will be published in the March 2015 Journal of Singing. The research was presented at the 43rd Symposium for the Voice in Philadelphia in May 2014. 


Edrie Means-Weekly 
Ontario, Canada 
Masterclasses/Concert

Edrie Means Weekly  performed "An Evening of Country, Jazz, Pop, Musical Theatre and Opera" in Ontario, Canada and held lectures/masterclasses on Musical Theatre singing styles at Young Artists of America, Howard University and Morgan State University.

Published Chapter
Edrie also wrote a chapter in the new publication, Teaching Singing in the 21st Century. Her chapter is entitled "Bringing The Song To Life: It's A Matter Of Style."

Shari Sanders
Masterclass

Shari gave a three-day masterclass in preparation for the premiere of American Idiot.  She worked with the musical theatre undergraduate majors and the graduate voice pedagogy students.

Melissa Cross Masterclass

Melissa Cross graced SU by giving the voice pedagogy graduate students as well as our undergraduate musical theatre majors a three-day masterclass in preparation for the premier of American Idiot.   Learn More


Kathryn Green 
Sa� Paulo, Brazil Masterclasses Concert 
Kathryn Green held masterclasses in CCM functional voice training and performed at the Coral USP Conference in Sa� Paulo, Brazil this past November. This is part of a faculty exchange program between Sa� Paulo University and Shenandoah Conservatory.
