Dear BFCCPS Community,

Welcome back! I hope that you have enjoyed your February vacation!  It was great to see the students, faculty and staff back after a relaxing vacation!  With all of the accumulated snow we have received, it is important to review the arrival and dismissal procedures here.

I am excited to announce the 7th and 8th grade winners of the BFCCPS Science fair. Congratulations to the 3rd place winner- Kaitlin Broyles, 2nd place Winner- Shraddha Iyer, and a tie for first place between: Saketh Saripalli and Francisco Coakley! These students will represent BFCCPS at the Regional Science Fair!

Sincerely,

Updates from the BFCCPS Health Office:

Our annual Postural Screening Program will begin in March for students in grades 5-8. The purpose of this screening program is to detect early signs of possible posture problems in children. This is not a diagnostic service, but helps identify students who should have further medical evaluation.

The screening is conducted in a manner that is respectful of each child's modesty/privacy.
For more details on the program, please click HERE. If you have any questions or concerns, you are always welcome to email the BFCCPS Health Office or call (508) 528-1945.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Please remember to keep your child home from school if (s)he has a fever greater than 100.0 within the last 24 hours, or has vomited within the last 24 hours.  If your child is diagnosed with influenza or strep throat, please let the Health Office know.

Hand-washing is an excellent way to help prevent spreading germs and getting sick.  For visual confirmation that hand-washing works, check out these petri dishes you will notice how many fewer germs grew from the washed hands!
