My Assignment...
Hello my MTC Family and Friends!  My assignment is to make sure the newsletter is accurate and correct so you can learn, grow, and engage in the ministries of Memorial Tabernacle Church!  :)  Please excuse the errors observed in this week's newsletter that was sent yesterday afternoon.

Below you will find corrections and new information on ways you can engage. If you would like to be a part of the Media/Marketing Ministry, let me know. The time is now. As Pastor preached Sunday, we all have a kingdom assignment. Are you walking in yours?

Notes from Sunday's Sermon
"WHAT IS YOUR KINGDOM ASSIGNMENT?" (Genesis 12:1-3)

We all have kingdom assignments, which mean we have been uniquely positioned to be a blessing to someone else. If we do not understand our kingdom responsibilities, we will go about our life missing the opportunities that God has for us. Far too many of us are too involved in our own lives to be utilized to the full extent that God has ordained for our lives. God wants to bless someone through you. God wants the world to know him better because of you. He wants you to be a kingdom resident and a kingdom instrument, someone who transmits and vocalizes the personality and Spirit of God, to make a difference in the world.

He has ordained that you be an influence in the world. God wants people to see you and desire what you have and yearn insatiably to be like you. You are to be a model, a paragon, an example. He doesn't want you or I staggering around and meandering with no destiny, no purpose, no joy, no excitement, and no enthusiasm, half-hearted, half-living, or half struggling. No! God says, "I created you with destiny and purpose because you are my child. I made you uniquely! You are wonderfully and beautifully made" (Psa. 139:14-17). I put in you something that gives you the ability to influence your atmosphere and to change, alter, and transform the behavioral patterns around you.

You should not be walking around being influenced; you should be influencing. You should be the one making the difference because you have been created for greatness. You have to begin to think in terms of your kingdom responsibility. We have to start thinking in terms of kingdom influence. It is a sad thing that the church is not more influential than we are. It is a sad thing that we need politicians, the government, and all of these supposedly important people to make us feel good about ourselves.

A Mission-Driven Church

Our Mission...
The Memorial Tabernacle Church has come together by the Holy Spirit for the specific purpose of preaching and teaching the word of God, (the Bible), and about Jesus Christ, God's son, and to proclaim the gospel of the Kingdom of God to the North Oakland Community and its environs; to bring healing to the brokenhearted and deliverance to the oppressed.

Our Foundation...
Fellowship "And let us consider how to stimulate one another to love and good deeds, not forsaking our own assembling together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more, as you see the day drawing near." (Hebrews 10:24-25)

Prayer "Do not fret or have any anxiety about anything, but in every circumstance and in everything, by prayer and petition (definite requests), with thanksgiving, continue to make your wants known to God."

(Philippians 4:6)

" Worship Let us therefore, receiving a kingdom that is firm and stable and cannot be shaken, offer to God pleasing service and acceptable worship, with modesty and pious care and godly fear and awe."

(Hebrews 12: 28
