It's Official: SB 186 is Law!
As a result of your dedication - your calls, your letters, your meetings, your tweets-and support, the yoga community was able to rally together to pass SB 186, which Governor Hickenlooper signed into law on April 17, 2015!

Meditation: True Love
What is it that true love  has in common with meditation ? And how is true love different than our common concept of love? We begin with meditation, sitting quietly to touch the stillness. What we find when we first sit is a cacophony of thoughts and feelings that spontaneously arise when we close our eyes. It is intimidating to hope for quiet in the midst of the noise. At this point it is critical to begin the practice of focusing on a single thing; the breath, the mantra. It is in this focused attention that the storm of thoughts and feelings begin to subside. This is a gradual process that works best if we sit quietly every day.  Read more...
Aligning in Authenticity
I vividly remember entering a yoga studio as a novice and hearing the slender, sprightly instructor speak of alignment. At that time, and for many years following, I tried diligently to practice my yoga from a place of alignment. Like many students, I took quite seriously my practice and wanted to reap the many gifts of time on my mat, all while remaining injury-free. It was my assumption, that so long as I aligned my spine, grounded my feet, tucked my tailbone and opened my heart, I could proudly claim myself as aligned.  Read more...
Grey Rock Yoga Hike Take 2...

Upcoming Community Class Schedule

The following classes are open to the public and appropriate for all-levels.

Based on the yin yoga tradition and basic meridian principles. A slow, meditative class where postures are held from 15 breaths up to several minutes per pose.
Vinyasa Yoga Flow
Breath-synchronized movements help us to peel off tension in the body and mind, revealing freedom of movement and freedom of spirit. Based on the Ashtanga tradition, the sequences are powerful and flowing with lots of movement. Build strength and endurance while at the same time creating a state of calm and quiet.

Hatha Yoga Flow
These classes emphasize strength and balance with meditation and full-yogic breathing. Spinal integrity and body alignment are practiced. After a flowing sun salutation warm-up, each posture is held for an extended period of time, from 10-15 breaths per pose.

Meditation & Breathwork
Meditation is a way to access the stillness and equanimity within, that genuine space inside all of us where we feel in harmony, where we come into alignment with the world. It is this deep connection that enables us to maintain our clarity and understanding, helping us to find our peace. In this class participants are gently guided through the process of physical and mental relaxation using breath awareness, mantra, and various other techniques as described and guided by the teacher.

Daily Intention & Meditation
