Dear Friend,

Jewish communities throughout the former Soviet Union and Eastern Europe concluded their celebrations of Chanukah this week. In St. Petersburg, the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress organized a special celebration marking the quarter-century anniversary of the renewal of public Chanukah celebrations in the city. Many prominent Russian and international Jewish leaders attended the event, sponsored by EAJC First Vice President Mikhail Mirilashvili.

On behalf of NCSEJ, I would like to wish you a happy and healthy New Year. The next issue of the Weekly News Update will be sent on Friday, January 9th.

Sincerely,

Mark B. Levin

Executive Director
