Dear students, The Italian Ministry of Education (MIUR) announced that NO entry exam to MEDICINA e CHIRURGIA & Co. will be held for the A.Y. 2015/16 (ITALIAN program). More information on the matter and on the MED. SCHOOL English program will be published by the MIUR over the upcoming Fall (September/October 2014). Upon confirmation of the announced reform, acceptance to the Department of Medicine in Italy will therefore turn easier than in the past. So ..., keeping in mind that Italy offers outstanding universities, the lowest tuition fees in Europe, and the most fascinating life style in the world, do your Math, keep calm and... START LEARNING ITALIAN already NOW!!! Here is what the Italian Cultural Institute in Haifa - Italian Embassy in Israel can offer you, beginning already on September 1st, 2014: 200 + 200 hours INTENSIVE ITALIAN LANGUAGE courses (minimum 8 students). Each course costs 6100 NIS (including learning materials). Two (2) courses cost 10800 NIS (including learning materials). - FIRST SESSION, opening on SEPTEMBER 1st, 2014, in accordance with the following schedule: First 200 hours (Level A1-A2): Monday - Wednesday, between 09:30 and 13:15, from September 1st to December 23rd, 2014. Dall'omonimo romanzo di Melania Mazzucco. Emma e Antonio, sposati con due figli, sono separati da circa un anno. Antonio vive da solo nella casa dove avevano abitato insieme, Emma � andata a stare da sua madre coi bambini. Poi, una notte qualunque, una volante viene chiamata nel palazzo e la polizia si accinge a fare irruzione nell'appartamento dove qualcuno dice di aver sentito degli spari.

A dysfunctional family is torn apart in a moment of violence and anger in this thriller from director Ferzan Ozpetek. Antonio (Valerio Mastandrea) is a burly and short-tempered man who works as a bodyguard for Elio Fioravanti (Valerio Binasco), a high-ranking politician. Antonio is officially married to Emma (Isabella Ferrari), but she's left him and has gone to live with her mother Adriana (Stefania Sandrelli), taking their kids Valentina (Nicole Murgia) and Kevin (Gabriele Paolino) with her. Antonio is determined to win Emma back, and when Kevin is invited to a birthday party thrown for Elio's daughter by the politician's young trophy wife Maja (Nicole Grimaudo), he hopes it will give him a chance to reconnect with his family (Rotten Tomatoes). Alice, 35 anni e un figlio di 9, vive, superficiale e razzista, in una grande villa a Roma nord. Alla morte improvvisa del marito, imprenditore di sanitari, viene a sapere dall'avvocato di famiglia che il consorte l'ha lasciata sul lastrico e che, se non salder� al pi� presto il grosso debito, perder� anche la custodia del figlio. Seguendo Aziz, il cameriere che ha insultato fino a pochi minuti prima, Alice lascia il lusso a cui � abituata per trasferirsi su una terrazza malandata del quartiere popolare del Quarticciolo. Per guadagnare tanto e in fretta, poi, ricorre al mestiere pi� antico del mondo, facendosi dare lezioni da una escort professionista.

Alice lives in a beautiful villa. She has a husband who makes a lot of money, a nine-year-old son and three servants who happen to be immigrants. She is superficial, haughty and racist. But everything changes the day her husband gets killed in an accident: the young woman suddenly finds herself debt-ridden. Forced to leave their magnificent house, she goes to live in a small apartment in a working-class neighborhood. To repay her debts she also has to find work. When she gets to know Eva, a call girl who works in the West End of the town, she follows her example. In parallel, during her free time, Alice meets a certain number of good people in her new area. And she feels closer and closer to one of them called Giulio. ( IMDb)

NEW!!! TEACHING CERTIFICATE FOR TEACHING ITALIAN IN ISRAEL
The teaching certificate was recently approved by Tel Aviv university and is due to commence this Fall semester with the collaboration of the University of Perugia. It is part of the collaboration of the university with the Italian Embassy in Israel which had a major role in promoting this initiative.
The candidates need to be proficient Italian speakers with a relevant academic degree in Italian study areas. They also need to have a working knowledge of Hebrew as the general pedagogical lectures and classes are held in the Hebrew language.
