Berkeley Citizens doesn't put up billboards, or have commercials telling about all the wonderful people they help here at home in Berkeley County and right here in Moncks Corner.  They are the people who were called to watch over God's special children.  Even the older ones, are still... his children.

BCI has 22 homes located in and around Our Town.  They house approximately 96 special people and help to take care of hundreds more in the community.  Sometimes the task seems so very overwhelming.  Talking with the caregivers and the families of these very special folks, my heart goes out to them every single day! 

BCI sells the Berkeley County Ornaments, and they have a booth out at the Old Santee Canal Festival of the Seasons.  But it takes so much more.  Unless you designate BCI as your charity of choice, Trident United Way does not donate to them! 

But please, in the spirit of Christmas, we are the voice that whispers the needs of special people who cannot speak out for themselves.
